With the surge of Pre-Paid calling options available in the inmate telephone
market today, it has become crucial to take measures to verify the identity
of each user. AmTel’s RFID verification system provides a reliable
method to prevent fraud and theft of pre-paid inmate accounts.
How It Works
Using Proven RFID technology, a small antenna is placed inside a common
correctional bracelet or ID tag. The antennas cannot be tampered with
or removed without the use of a knife or scissors. The system is designed
to stop working if it is tampered with. RFID readers are placed in every
phone. Every call placed will require interaction with the inmate tag
and the reader to verify the inmates identity.
Minimal Administration
Required By using the existing name tag or bracelet system in the facility,
RFID readers will be installed completely inside the phone casing. It
will be virtually impossible for inmates to tamper with or damage them.
