facility customers. The Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), for instance,
lowers the cost of providing the service to the inmates whereby the savings
can be passed onto the inmates and their families. Another important fact
is that the WatchDog ITS™ platform runs on a carrier grade network
with Class 5 switching as the core and cluster to National MicroSystems
cluster to support. This means that AmTel's inmate telephone systems run
the full-feature security products and allows real-time web-reporting
for the option of jail management or commissary interface. |
The WatchDog ITS™ allows for easy maintenance, reduced need for
access to the correctional facilities, more availability for inmates
due to redundancy and lower infrastructure costs which can be translated
to lower rates to the inmates and their families. AmTel has achieved
its goal of cutting operational and network costs, so that the actual
costs of installing and maintaining the system will be much less and
savings can be passed on via lower call prices and more call volumes
to the correctional facilities.
