Save Money! Collect call telephone providers can lose crippling amounts of money if they aren't able to validate collect calls. The Problem:Most Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC) phone numbers are unbillable. This is the single biggest reason inmate providers lose money. The primary cause of this revenue loss is the failure to update the Line Identification Database. Unless this database is conisstently updated to reflect CLEC and ANIs leased wholsale through their networks, there is no way for inmate providers to receive this revenue. Another reason collect call telephone providers are losing money involves a lack of information. Most CLECs are reluctant to tell their customers that they may be eligible to receive third-party billed traffic like collect calls. When validated, many of these ANIs return data linked to a billable LEC. When the call detail records are returned to the provider, the true billable status of these ANIs can be identified. The problem multiplies when you factor in bill number portability among these parties (cell phone providers, LECs, and CLECs). The LECs own the databases, and users have little input as to the timing or completeness of the data updates. The Solution:Stop the bleeding early by adding failing and fraudulent ANIs to the validation solution as soon as the data becomes available. This provides immediate cross-platform blocking of all offending ANIs at the point of validation. AmTel / ATN, Inc. Value Added Services:
Current "CLEC" file uploaded weekly. Known customer LEC reject ANIs blocked at validation.
