Collect call telephone providers can lose crippling amounts of money if they aren't able to validate collect calls.

Most Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC) phone numbers are unbillable. This is the single biggest reason inmate providers lose money. The primary cause of this revenue loss is the failure to update the Line Identification Database.
